Congrats to our customer-focused team of Telligenti that works hard everyday to accomplish social computing initiatives for our clients. Here are a couple of recent go-lives:
1. Dell Community, launched 11/07/08
Background: This is the first major delivery in a comprehensive repositioning of all Dell Community properties worldwide. Dell used Community Server 2008.5 to integrate several properties that had previously been standalone applications, including several blogs (e.g., Direct2Dell, Small Business, Dell Shares [investor relations], etc.) discussion forums (technical support, gaming/entertainment, etc.) and media galleries into a single social network software platform. They’ve added new Wikis, Groups and Friends to create a deeper, more collaborative online community experience. The Dell Community site also employs an innovative “topic-driven navigation” approach to drive users to the content they need based on their specific interests.
Sean McDonald, Director of Communities and Conversations, Global Communications, says in his Direct2Dell blog post (“Dell Unleashes the Community Part 2”),
“One of the many things we’ve learned from social media is that Dell is a better company when we listen and engage with our customers… The Dell team accomplished the community platform by aligning with a technology partner that shared our vision of an integrated platform and putting the community member first. Telligent is our technology partner and worked many months to turn our vision into the new Dell Community site.”
Congratulations again, Dell! We’re proud to be your technology partner of choice.
2. Games for Windows forums, launched 11/12/08
The goal of the site: “The forums should provide Games for Windows – LIVE users with a place to communicate and discuss topics of interest relating to the titles and [to] the service itself.”
In short, Telligent implemented LiveID authentication and subsequent integration to get the User’s GamerTag.
Congrats, Microsoft!
