What does Verint Community cost and how is it licensed?

Verint Community is a very simple, but scalable solution. Some of our communities run over 1b page views in a month. We’ve also tried to make our licensing and pricing as simple as possible. Verint Community is available in a Software as a Service (SaaS) model hosted in Verint Cloud, On-premises in your own data center, or SaaS Any Cloud such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure.

Licensing for public / external communities

For SaaS Verint Cloud, public external communities is licensed by monthly page views and API calls and includes one (1) production web domain, one (1) production environment, one (1) non-production/staging domain, and one (1) non-production/staging environment. Local, non-production development environments are available for self-hosting upon request.

For On-Premises or SaaS Any Cloud, public external communities is licensed by server and domain. The Commercial Edition includes one (1) production web domain, one (1) production server, three (3) non-production web domains for development, testing, and staging and one (1) non-production server for the non-production environments. Additional web domains, production servers and languages are only available in the Commercial Edition.

Customers anticipating greater than 250,000 page views/month, wanting a fail-over server, or expecting a high utilization of APIs should consider a minimum of (2) production servers.

What are my options for where Verint Community runs?

We’re flexible – Verint Community can be deployed with one of the following options with the ability to change at a later point in time.

  1. You Host (On-Premises or Any Cloud) – you run the software ‘on-premises’ in your own data center, Azure or Amazon Web Services.
  2. We Host (Cloud or SaaS) – we run the software in our Verint Cloud or SaaS environments. Cloud option has the same great service levels and support, monitoring and upkeep as our SaaS offering. The difference between Cloud and SaaS options is if you decide during the term to self-host in a data center or service provider of your choice, you can. You just give us 30 days notice and you only pay for the hosting services you’ve used. Note: We’re told by many happy customers that we’re the only forums and community software provider at our level that offers this kind of flexibility.

Basically, we want to make it easy to run our software for whatever way works best for you.

How is the Commercial Edition of Verint Community restricted?

The Commercial Edition of Verint Community is restricted by the number of servers and domains for external communities and by the number of users for employee engagement and intranet use.

The Commercial Edition is licensed for external (public) uses of Verint Community and internal (private employee intranet/partner/customer) uses. Internal uses are licensed by seat (named login).
